A short note on how this site was built and where AI helped.
Three versions so far
The first version of this site was built in Lovable in July 2026. The second, in September 2026, was plain HTML and CSS written with Claude Code, so I could actually see and change the code. This is the third version, from September 30, 2026.
Where the look came from
I gave Claude Code five pictures I liked:
a crayon drawing of tennis racketsa Golf le Fleur site concepta longread about Susan Karea sky-and-hills slide templatea seed shop concept called blume
The sky and grass, crayon doodles, old-Mac windows, pixel icons, and tape-and-sticker collage all come from those.
Where AI helped
- All of the code, including the drawings. The clouds, grass, crayon texture, and pixel icons are drawn in code. There are no stock images.
- Drafting the words from my resume and my old site.
- Details I would have missed, like the phone layout, alt text, and night mode.
What's mine
- Picking the references and deciding what goes on the site.
- The SEYA photos are from our real shoot, and the playlist is my actual playlist.
- The interests are real. I do make a lot of waffles.
